About Me
Lauren is currently pursuing her Bachelor's of Science in Dance Pedagogy at Oklahoma City University, Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment.
Lauren’s dance journey started at Mary Lee’s School of Dance, Rockford, IL, at the age of 4. At age 11, Lauren knew that she wanted dance to be her life, so she joined the dance competition team to be able to take more dance classes and dance on stage more. In addition, she also became a dance assistant where she fell in love with teaching dancers the joy of dance.
When Lauren was a freshman in high school, she moved to Evolve Dance Company, Rockford, IL, to be exposed to new styles and teachers to further her dance training. She continued competing at many regional and national dance competitions where she received many overall high scores, special awards, and scholarships. Lauren’s proudest moments were receiving titles for “Miss Starpower of Madison, WI" at Starpower National Talent Competition, and “Miss Imagine of Chicago, IL" at Imagine Dance Challenge in 2022. Lauren also became a dance demonstrator and dance assistant for dancers 5-18 years old at Evolve Dance Company. In addition, Lauren has been a guest dance teacher at Beauty in Motion Dance Arts, Machesney Park, IL where she taught master classes and dance classes. Lauren also attended many dance summer intensives to further her dance training including Gus Giordano Dance School Jazz, Turns/Jumps, and Ballet Intensives, Visceral Dance Center Contemporary Intensive, Alvin Ally Virtual Summer Intensive, and Oklahoma City University, Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment, “Broadway Bound Dance Camp.”
Lauren was accepted into her dream school, Oklahoma City University, Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment where she could pursue what she loved most, dancing and teaching children how to dance. Throughout her time at Oklahoma City University, Lauren has been part of the Star Dance Company where she has had to opportunity to perform in MOVE! Dance for the World of Entertainment. In addition, Lauren has been a dancer for the Spirit of Grace Liturgical Dance Company and the student choreography show at Oklahoma City University.
After graduation, Lauren hopes to be a performer in the dance and entertainment industry, a dance teacher, and open a dance studio to share the joy of dance to all in a supportive, nurturing, and joyful atmosphere.
